This week's song of the week comes from a new up and coming band I chanced upon last weekend whilst browsing the coverage of Radio 1's Big Weekend in Glasgow. Darlia are a grunge/rock/alternative outfit from Blackpool who have been backed by BBC Introducing and Radio 1 in recent months, having been Zane Lowe's Hottest Record and getting increasing airtime.
Their second EP Candyman was released a couple of months ago and a full album should be in the works. Their first single Queen of Hearts is this weeks song of the week, being their standout song so far. I also particularly like the track Blood Money but it is yet to have a music video made.
