The Enemy - Saturday
Last weekend I was lucky enough to go see one of the FA cup semi-finals at Wembley (not the Chelsea Man City one unfortunately) but a great opportunity nonetheless to visit the impressive stadium. The match was not a sell out, hence why I went, but it meant we were able to get real close to one of the bands that were playing pre-match - The Enemy
This a song from the forgotten 2012 album 'Streets in the Sky' (forgotten because it wasn't very good!) and is now probably more well known for being on the Fifa '13 soundtrack. I was quite impressed with The Enemy's first album 2007's We'll Live and Die in These Towns, and I think that this song is reminiscent of that kind style that they have failed to reignite in their later albums in my opinion. This song seems to be more on form for a band that looked full of promise after their first album. Check it out for yourself!
This is how close we got to The Enemy playing 'Saturday' at Wembley. #Tune twitter.com/1AndrewGee/sta…The Enemy are one of 6 bands vying for their song to be the official FA cup anthem of this season's competition. The other acts competing against the Enemy are: Lethal Bizzle, Devlin, The Pigeon Detectives, The Twang and Reverend and The Makers. You can listen to the all tracks and vote for your favourite on the FA website here.
